Warner Bros. Movie World Announces Major Overhaul of Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster

Australia - Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia has commenced a major rehabilitation of its Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, now dubbed “Next Generation,” with a planned reopening in 2025.

This project, which began on January 27, 2023, and has a budget of 4 million dollars, aims to enhance both the technical aspects and theming of the ride.

Key updates include improved braking systems, partial track replacements, modernized ride components, and new, more comfortable vehicles.

The attraction, a Wild Mouse indoor coaster originally opened in 2002, will maintain its spooky theme inspired by the first Scooby-Doo film, featuring animatronics, special effects, and an immersive storyline centered around Spooky Island.

This extensive refurbishment is part of the park’s broader strategy to modernize its attractions, following similar upgrades to other rides like Justice League 3D and Superman Escape.

In addition to these enhancements, Warner Bros. Movie World continues to expand its offerings with new attractions, including the recently opened Marvin The Martian: Cosmic Boom and the upcoming The Flash: Speed Force and The Wizard of Oz-themed area.
