California - Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion is set to reopen on July 29th after a six-month refurbishment.
The attraction, which closed on January 22, 2024, will feature the popular “Nightmare Before Christmas” holiday overlay.
The redesigned queue now ties into local legends, suggesting the manor was built by a prosperous sea captain, and includes new gardens inspired by Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and the one-eyed cat.
Unique elements like a water fountain, gazebo, themed statuary, landscaping, and a new greenhouse where the groundskeepers grow plants will enhance the experience.
The pet cemetery and horse-drawn funeral hearse will remain on the grounds.
An all-new retail shop celebrating Madame Leota will open, located in the mansion’s carriage house.
This standalone shop will offer exclusive merchandise and themed souvenirs.
To manage high demand, a Virtual Queue system will be in place, requiring guests to use the Disneyland app to enter.
There will be two daily opportunities to join the virtual queue: at 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
