Australia - Dreamworld, the popular theme park in Queensland, Australia, has installed the final piece of track for its new family coaster, Jungle Rush. This milestone marks a significant step toward the coaster’s scheduled opening at the end of 2024.
Jungle Rush, designed by the Dutch manufacturer Vekoma, is set to be a significant addition to Dreamworld’s lineup.
The AU$35 million “family-thrill” coaster features a unique inclined turntable that enables trains to travel both forwards and backwards, offering riders a varied experience. This switchback design supports multiple cycle paths, enhancing the ride’s re-rideability and appeal to coaster enthusiasts and families alike.
Jungle Rush promises to deliver an exhilarating ride experience with 12 airtime moments and immersive theming by Pico Play, marking the tenth collaboration between Dreamworld and the design company.
The coaster will be the anchor attraction in Dreamworld’s new themed land, Rivertown. Alongside Jungle Rush, Rivertown will also feature Murrissippi Motors, a reimagined and relocated version of the park’s Vintage Car Adventure, complete with new vehicles and a refreshed look.
This new area and its attractions represent a major component of Dreamworld’s AU$50 million investment in park upgrades and new offerings.
