SeaWorld Orlando to Introduce Arctic-Themed Flying Theater in 2025

Florida - SeaWorld Orlando has announced plans to unveil a new Arctic-themed flying theater attraction in spring 2025. This immersive experience will allow guests to embark on a simulated flight over the Arctic, encountering its diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.

Immersive Arctic Adventure

The upcoming attraction will offer a 4.5-minute journey, showcasing snow-capped mountains, towering glaciers, crystal-clear waters, and the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe Arctic wildlife, including beluga whales, walruses, and orcas, providing an educational and entertaining experience for all ages. The ride will be accessible to guests with a minimum height of one meter, ensuring family-friendly participation.

Innovative Ride System

SeaWorld Orlando, in collaboration with its parent company United Parks & Resorts, has selected a back-to-back configuration for the ride system. This design features multiple levels with 30 seats on each side, facilitating efficient loading and unloading processes. The theater’s advanced motion technology aims to create a realistic sensation of flight, enhancing the overall immersive experience.

Commitment to Education and Conservation

Jon Peterson, President of SeaWorld Orlando, expressed enthusiasm for the new attraction, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce this first-of-its-kind attraction at SeaWorld Orlando. This indoor immersive flying theater experience reinforces our commitment to education, animal care, and research.” By bringing the wonders of the Arctic to life, SeaWorld aims to inspire guests to appreciate and conserve the natural world.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Evolution

Established in 1973, SeaWorld Orlando has evolved from a marine zoological park into a multifaceted theme park, offering a blend of animal exhibits, educational programs, and thrilling rides. The introduction of the Arctic-themed flying theater aligns with the park’s ongoing efforts to provide innovative attractions that educate and entertain visitors. This addition follows the recent launch of “Penguin Trek,” a family launch coaster that takes guests on an expedition through the Arctic, further expanding the park’s Arctic-themed offerings.
