Poland - A significant addition to Poland’s entertainment landscape, Hossoland, is set to open its doors in 2025. Located on the Polish coast, this ambitious project promises a unique and immersive experience for visitors.
Hossoland is the brainchild of Hosso Holding, a company traditionally focused on shopping center development. Spanning 40 hectares in Brojce, northwest Poland, the park is expected to attract around one million visitors annually. The master plan, which has been in the works since 2017, outlines four themed areas with a total of 50 attractions. These include several major roller coasters, a Viking-themed area, a fairy tale section, and a fisherman’s village with a lighthouse and water coaster.
The entrance to Hossoland will feature an enormous shipwreck surrounded by quaint harbor houses, setting the tone for a nautical adventure. The park’s design and decoration are spearheaded by the renowned Dutch company Jora Vision, which has a reputation for crafting detailed and immersive environments. Other notable collaborators include the Dutch coaster manufacturer Vekoma, Mack Rides and MackNeXT from Germany, and WhiteWater from Canada.
Hossoland is divided into four distinct themed zones:
- Mermaid City: A magical underwater-themed area with aquatic attractions and shows.
- The Kingdom of Baltambrya: A fairy tale kingdom with castles, dragons, and mythical creatures.
- The Land of the Vikings: A rugged, adventure-filled zone featuring Viking history and mythology.
- Dragon Valley of the Mines: A thrilling area with roller coasters and mining-themed adventures.
Across Hossoland, more than 50 attractions will be on offer including:
- GhostRider: A multi-million euro steel coaster that will reach speeds of up to 117kmph (72.7mph) and a maximum height of 53.5m (176ft) over 893m (2,930ft) of track.
- Intamin Rapid River: An exhilarating rapid river ride.
- Mine Train Coaster: A coaster designed to take visitors on a high-speed adventure through mining-themed landscapes.
- Frisbee Attraction: A high-energy spinning ride.
- Water Ride: A water-based ride perfect for cooling off on hot days.
The park is set to be a major competitor in the Polish theme park market, though it is unlikely to directly compete with Energylandia due to the considerable distance between them. Hossoland is strategically located about 2.5 hours from Berlin, making it an attractive destination for international visitors.
Construction is well underway, and the project has garnered significant attention within the theme park industry. The park’s development continues to impress with its scale and ambition. As it moves closer to its opening date, Hossoland is expected to set new standards for theme parks in Poland and attract a diverse range of visitors from across Europe.
