Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Hosts Unique ‘Scary and Merry’ Event in Summer

Florida - Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is set to delight guests with a unique event on July 25, 2024, combining the thrills of Halloween with the festive cheer of Christmas.

This one-day-only “Scary and Merry” event will let visitors experience both holiday themes in the middle of summer.

From 12 PM to 4 PM, guests can choose between a spooky tour of The Stranglewood Estate, featuring eerie encounters and haunted house thrills, or an early Christmas celebration with Santa Claus at the Serengeti Overlook.

Spooky Thrills at The Stranglewood Estate

The Stranglewood Estate, a highlight of the fall Howl-O-Scream event, will offer an in-depth tour, allowing guests to explore the haunted mansion’s chilling history and encounter its ghostly inhabitants. This haunted house promises spine-tingling scares and atmospheric frights that are sure to thrill Halloween enthusiasts.

Festive Cheer with Santa Claus

On the merrier side, visitors can meet Santa Claus on the third floor of Serengeti Overlook. This early Christmas celebration allows guests to share their holiday wishes and enjoy festive decorations and activities, bringing a touch of Christmas magic to the summer day.

Howl-O-Scream: More Horror Awaits

The “Scary and Merry” event is a prelude to Busch Gardens’ annual Howl-O-Scream event, running from September 6 to November 2, 2024. Howl-O-Scream features haunted houses, scare zones, and nighttime rides on some of the park’s most thrilling attractions. Special tickets and packages, including single-night tickets starting at $32.99 and flexible Any Night tickets, are available, with additional discounts for Pass Members.
