Cedar Point Announces Retirement of Snake River Falls After 30 Seasons

Cedar Point

Ohio - Cedar Point has announced that 2024 will mark the final season for Snake River Falls, one of the park’s classic water rides.

Opened in 1993, Snake River Falls debuted as the tallest, steepest & fastest water flume ride in the world. Standing 82 feet (25 meters) above Frontier Town, nobody had ever seen anything like it.

The ride is set to close on Labor Day, September 2, 2024.

The retirement of Snake River Falls is part of Cedar Point’s strategy to refresh and innovate its attractions. Details about what will replace the Snake River Falls have not yet been revealed.

Guests are invited to experience Snake River Falls one last time before it closes. Special events and commemorative merchandise will be available throughout the 2024 season to celebrate the ride’s legacy.
