Saudi Arabia - Christopher Perry, currently the Executive Director of Entertainment Strategy at Qiddiya Investment Company, has been elected as IAAPA’s Second Vice Chair for 2025.
This role sets him on a leadership path that will see him advance to First Vice Chair in 2026 and ultimately serve as Chairman of IAAPA’s Board of Directors in 2027.
Perry, known for his extensive expertise in the global attractions industry, especially across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and other regions, will play a pivotal role in shaping IAAPA’s future. His leadership experience spans waterparks, resorts, and cruise companies, and his contributions as a co-founder of MENALAC (Middle East and North Africa Leisure and Attractions Council) further highlight his influence in the sector.
The IAAPA Board leadership also features Massimiliano Freddi, founder and Managing Director of Wonderwood, who will serve as Chairman of the Board in 2025. In 2026, the role will be taken over by Luciana Periales, CEO of Neverland Park in Argentina, as IAAPA continues to emphasize its global reach and diversity of leadership.
IAAPA has also announced several other key leadership appointments, including Andreas Andersen, CEO of the Liseberg Group, as Treasurer until 2027. With over two decades in the attractions industry and a strong legal and financial background, Andersen will play a key role in managing IAAPA’s finances.
Omid Aminifard, COO of Santa Cruz Seaside Company, and Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral Group, were elected as Facility Directors. Aminifard brings 30 years of industry experience, while Al Zaabi has been instrumental in developing Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island and will contribute as IAAPA Expo Middle East launches in 2026.
Geoff Chutter, CEO of WhiteWater West, was elected MSC Director, offering his expertise in water attractions. Additionally, Rene Aziz, CEO of Grupo Divertido, was also elected, bringing over 40 years of experience in the Latin American attractions industry.
