Disneyland to Debut Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics Figure in New Show on May 16, 2025

California - Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, is set to unveil a groundbreaking attraction featuring the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney.

The new stage show, titled “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” will premiere on May 16, 2025, coinciding with the park’s 70th anniversary celebrations.

‘Walt Disney – A Magical Life’

Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will showcase an Audio-Animatronics representation of Walt Disney, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience his presence within the park he envisioned. The show will be housed in the Main Street Opera House, a venue traditionally associated with historical exhibits and performances.

World’s Fair

The Main Street Opera House has long been home to “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln,” an attraction that debuted at the 1964 New York World’s Fair before becoming a staple at Disneyland. The introduction of Walt Disney’s Audio-Animatronics figure represents a significant advancement in the technology, building upon the legacy of animatronic innovations that began with figures like Mr. Lincoln.

Operational Details and Scheduling

Upon its debut, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will be the primary show at the Main Street Opera House. Subsequently, it will rotate with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln,” allowing guests to experience both attractions. This scheduling approach aims to honor the park’s heritage while introducing new experiences.

70th Anniversary Celebrations

The launch of “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” aligns with Disneyland’s 70th anniversary festivities, which commence on May 16, 2025, and are expected to continue through the summer of 2026. The celebration will feature new entertainment offerings, including an updated “World of Color” show, enhancing the guest experience during this milestone period.
