Germany - Europa-Park, Germany’s largest theme park, is marking the fifth anniversary of its water world, Rulantica, with a series of festive activities and events.
Running from November 28 to December 1, 2024, the celebration promises exclusive entertainment, themed surprises, and a dazzling fireworks display, offering visitors an unforgettable experience to commemorate this milestone.
A Week of Festivities
Guests visiting Rulantica during the anniversary week can immerse themselves in a vibrant atmosphere filled with special offerings. In the heated outdoor pool, Frigg Tempel, visitors can sip on a specially crafted anniversary cocktail while enjoying live music from a DJ, creating a lively and celebratory ambiance. For those seeking relaxation, the Hyggedal sauna area will offer unique treatments and surprise gifts to enhance the rejuvenating experience.
Throughout the week, Rulantica’s lovable mascot, Snorri, will make appearances at the Snekkjas restaurant, spreading joy among guests of all ages. In the evenings, the outdoor spaces will transform with glowing fire pits, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere to unwind. Additionally, a festive photo spot in the lobby will give guests the perfect opportunity to capture memorable moments of the celebration.
The highlight of the week will be a grand fireworks display on November 28, coinciding with the exact date of Rulantica’s opening five years ago. This spectacular show will light up the night sky and set the tone for a week of festive cheer.
Rulantica’s Evolution Over Five Years
Since its launch in November 2019, Rulantica has undergone significant expansions and improvements, continuously adding new attractions and features. In 2020, the park introduced the Hyggedal sauna area, offering a tranquil escape for relaxation. The following year saw the debut of Svalgurok, an expansive outdoor play zone filled with slides and water activities, designed with families in mind.
In 2022, Rulantica unveiled Tønnevirvel, an interactive water attraction that is currently being upgraded with a protective cover to ensure year-round usability. Most recently, in 2023, the park expanded further with Nordiskturn, a new area that includes comfortable lounge spaces, luxurious day suites, and the thrilling Vikingløp racing slide. These additions showcase Europa-Park’s dedication to enhancing its water park and providing guests with diverse and exciting experiences.
