Florida - Universal Orlando has announced that the Hogwarts Express attraction will undergo a brief refurbishment from November 4, 2024, until November 7, 2024.
During this period, the popular train ride connecting Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure will be closed for maintenance.
Guests planning their visit around these dates should be aware that the refurbishment schedule is subject to change.
The Hogwarts Express is a key feature of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, allowing guests to experience a seamless journey between the two parks.
This full-scale replica of the train from the Harry Potter films travels 676 meters (2,218 feet) and operates on a single-track cable railway with a two-track passing loop at the midpoint.
Each of the two trains can transport 168 passengers and features detailed theming to resemble the original Hogwarts Express, complete with projection systems in place of windows to simulate the journey.
The attraction first opened to the public on July 8, 2014, as part of the Diagon Alley expansion. It quickly became a favorite among park visitors, transporting an average of 30,000 passengers daily and operating year-round.
