United Kingdom - LEGOLAND Windsor has announced a new after-hours experience titled “Behind the Bricks: The Dragon.” This VIP tour offers participants a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and discover the secrets of The Dragon ride, one of the park’s most popular attractions.
The Dragon is a family-friendly roller coaster located in the Knight’s Kingdom area of the park. It begins with a dark ride section, where guests journey through a medieval castle filled with detailed LEGO figures and scenes, including knights, wizards, and a friendly dragon. This portion of the ride features animatronics and LEGO models. The ride then transitions into a roller coaster experience, offering twists, turns, and gentle drops suitable for all ages.
The tour promises special access to The Dragon ride area, providing a rare glimpse into its inner workings. Each participant will receive a VIP lanyard, an exclusive VIP Pop Badge, and a certificate of completion as part of the package. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to take unique photos to share with friends and family, capturing memories of their special experience.
A VIP host will lead the tour, sharing interesting facts and statistics about The Dragon and answering any questions guests may have. The host’s insights aim to enhance the experience, making it both educational and entertaining. The tour is designed to be interactive and engaging, allowing guests to delve deeper into the magic of LEGOLAND.
The pricing for the tour is as follows: Individual tickets for participants aged 7 and above are priced at £70.00. Annual pass holders can enjoy a discounted rate of £56.00, but must present their pass when requested by the VIP team.
Guests must be at least seven years old, and those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older. Due to the physical nature of the tour, it may not be suitable for everyone, as it involves navigating stairs and narrow spaces. Participants must be fully ambulant to take part.
Photography is generally allowed during the tour, except in certain restricted areas, but filming is strictly prohibited. Guests should bring their cameras to capture the experience, adhering to the photography guidelines provided.
The “Behind the Bricks: The Dragon” tour is an after-hours event, requiring guests to arrive at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotel 30 minutes after the park closes. Park admission and car parking are not included in the tour price.
