Movieland Park Opens “Disaster – The Blockbuster Tour”

Italy - Movieland – The Hollywood Park (Italy) has introduced its latest attraction, “Disaster – The Blockbuster Tour.”

The attraction was officially opened on July 27, 2024, with a series of events including a treasure hunt called “Caccia al VHS” and a meet-and-greet with the acclaimed illustrator Renato Casaro. The day concluded with the “Disaster Summer Party,” featuring music from “I Love Formentera” and Radio 105.

“Disaster – The Blockbuster Tour” promises an engaging adventure through dynamic simulations and state-of-the-art special effects. The attraction aims to bring the magic of movie-making to life, offering guests a behind-the-scenes look at how blockbuster disaster films are created.

Guests embark on themed shuttle buses that transport them through various cinematic disasters. These buses are equipped with advanced technology, synchronized audio and visual storytelling to enhance the immersive experience.

The attraction features three primary sets: “Kong Wave,” “Tornado Fury,” and “Shark Park.” Each set uses a combination of animatronics, CGI, and other special effects to create realistic disaster scenarios. Visitors will experience intense wave simulations, tornado effects, and encounters with animatronic sharks, all designed to replicate scenes from blockbuster movies.

CEO Fabio Amicabile expressed his excitement about the new attraction, emphasizing its four years of development and the innovative approach it brings to the park. He highlighted that “Disaster – The Blockbuster Tour” represents a significant step forward in the park’s offerings, combining entertainment and technological advancement to provide a unique experience for visitors.
