United Kingdom - Pleasure Beach (Blackpool, United Kingdom) owner Amanda Thompson has announced plans for a third hotel at the amusement park.
The new hotel, still in the planning stages, is expected to be situated near the park’s white Casino building. Additionally, there are plans to develop apartments connected to the existing Boulevard Hotel.
Currently, the resort features two main hotels: the Boulevard Hotel and the Big Blue Hotel. The Boulevard Hotel offers luxury accommodations with stunning sea views and modern amenities, while the Big Blue Hotel provides family-friendly lodging with direct access to the park.
Despite the amusement park reporting a financial loss of over £500,000 in its latest accounts, the Boulevard Hotel achieved a pre-tax profit of £673,000.
Thompson highlighted some planning challenges, specifically regarding the planting of 60 trees required by Blackpool Council.
She expressed optimism about overcoming these issues to move forward with the new hotel project.
