New Jersey - Halloween at Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Great Adventure is shaping up to be more “extreme” than ever.
“Six Flags Fright Fest Extreme” is transforming into an after-hours ticketed event at both parks, aiming to provide a more exclusive and terrifying experience for horror enthusiasts.
The event will feature haunted houses inspired by popular horror franchises such as “Saw,” “Stranger Things,” “Army of the Dead,” and “The Conjuring,” promising intense scares and immersive thrills.
The “Saw” haunted house will plunge visitors into the twisted world of Jigsaw, filled with his notorious traps and challenges. Fans of “Stranger Things” will find themselves in the eerie town of Hawkins, Indiana, encountering Demogorgons and other supernatural horrors. The “Army of the Dead” attraction promises to bring the zombie apocalypse to life with intricate sets and intense encounters. Meanwhile, “The Conjuring Universe” house will delve into the spine-chilling tales of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, featuring iconic entities from the film series.
With the inclusion of these high-profile IP-based haunted houses, classic Haunted Houses from the past, multiple scare zones, and the new ticketed format, Six Flags aims to attract both die-hard fans of the horror genre and general thrill-seekers looking for an unforgettable night of scares.
“Six Flags Fright Fest Extreme” will run on select nights from September 19th to November 3rd, transforming the parks into a haven for horror fans. Guests can expect a combination of live actors, special effects, and detailed sets. The after-hours events at Magic Mountain and Great Adventure will require separate tickets, allowing for a more controlled and heightened scare experience.
