Six Flags Mexico Building New Roller Coaster for 25th Anniversary Amid Environmental Concerns

Mexico - Six Flags Mexico is set to unveil a new roller coaster for its 25th Anniversary season in 2025, despite initial setbacks related to environmental concerns.

Local residents voiced their objections, worried about the potential removal of trees for the coaster’s installation.

Responding to these concerns, the local government announced that the project, labeled “Roller Coaster Type A,” was not approved in its initial form.

They suggested relocating the coaster to an area that wouldn’t require tree removal, such as the parking lot.

Six Flags quickly adapted to these requirements, confirming on their social media that they found a solution that preserves the trees.

The new coaster project is indeed moving forward, with the park committing to meet environmental guidelines.

This announcement aligns with the park’s celebrations of its 25th year in Mexico, promising an exciting addition for visitors.

Speculations about the new coaster’s design have been rampant. On July 5, 2024, a Reddit post revealed images of red Vekoma-style roller coaster track covered in the parking lot.

Some enthusiasts suggest it could be a Tilt Coaster, originally proposed for Energylandia but never built. Others believe it might be a replica of the Flash: Vertical Velocity coaster under construction at Six Flags Great Adventure.
