France - Cigoland Parc, a theme park in France, announced that the Monorail de la Cigogne will be closed today due to ongoing technical issues.
Update 26/07/2024: After thorough tests and checks yesterday evening, the Monorail de la Cigogne is fully operational with no detected anomalies, leading the Parc Cigoland management to reopen it today while remaining vigilant and ready for any eventualities
Yesterday, around 3 PM, the monorail experienced a minor electrical fault, stranding visitors 5 meters above ground for over an hour.
Despite efforts by the park’s technicians, the cause of the malfunction has yet to be identified.
Last evening, technicians managed to restart the monorail’s “nests,” but the root cause of the issue remains unknown.
Although the monorail has been operational since the initial incident, the park’s management has decided to keep it closed as a precautionary measure to prevent any potential recurrence.
Technicians are continuing their investigations and tests this morning. An update on the situation is expected soon.
The park has apologized for the inconvenience and thanks visitors for their understanding.
