Belgium - Walibi Belgium celebrated a significant milestone today with the installation of the first rail for its anticipated new roller coaster.
The new roller coaster will be part of Dock World, a themed area set to debut in 2025 in honor of the park’s 50th anniversary.
The roller coaster, designed and constructed by Gerstlauer, promises to be a launched roller coaster which will still be a family-friendly attraction, integrating seamlessly with the water-based theme of Dock World.
This new section of the park will also include updated theming for existing rides like Flash Back and Psyké Underground, as well as new shops and restaurants.
Dock World represents a 35 million euro investment and is the result of three years of meticulous planning aimed at enhancing the visitor experience with immersive and captivating attractions.
The park has also taken measures to ensure that construction does not disrupt visitor enjoyment, such as creating a temporary exit for the Psyké Underground ride.
